Cannabis! Let's Talk About It! (The Health Benefits, Laws, & Business Opportunities)
Cannabis is the drug from the Indian hemp plant more familiarly known as grass, weed, marijuana, herb, and ganja. By any of these names, cannabis is globally considered to be the most widely cultivated, trafficked and abused “illegal” drug to experience a reputation remake. This justifies JWOF’s conversation about the potential value of its therapeutic usage versus its widely publicized destructive capabilities.
Let’s Talk About It! Is it safe? Are the acclaimed positive effects sufficiently proven? Should it be legal? Is decriminalization appropriate? How do we keep it away from our youth and others who are simply high? What about current widespread medical usage? Is this a ploy to legalize it for financial gain? The numerous health benefits for some of the most challenging wellness issues in modern times, staying on the legal side of usage and the evolving commercial potential are matters to be argued and debated on September 21, 2019, at the Jamaican Women of Florida’s (JWOF) Health and Wellness Conversation.
Annually in September, JWOF invites South Florida to spend a pleasant Saturday afternoon learning from experts and sharing insights about topics of health and wellness that are of immediate concern and relevance to the wellbeing of ourselves and our community. JWOF provides women of Jamaican origin, living in Florida, opportunities to empower themselves and others through services that give back to the community. The Health and Wellness Conversations are free to the entire community and everyone is welcome to attend.
So, Make it a date on Saturday, September21, 2019, at the centrally located West Regional Library, 8601 West Broward Boulevard, Plantation FL, starting at 2 pm. Save the date, invite others to attend and together let’s plan to actively seek the benefits and find out the pitfalls of Ganja – be sure to join this conversation.
